West Green Partnership Action Day |

|
Earlier this week, officers from West Green Ward joined colleagues from Haringey Council and Veolia for a coordinated day of action to address illegal encampments within Lordship Recreation Ground and the Broadwater Farm Estate.
The operation focused on restoring these public spaces for the benefit of local residents, responding to concerns regarding anti-social behaviour (ASB), environmental damage, and the accumulation of waste. Through close partnership working, a number of encampments were removed, with significant quantities of rubbish and hazardous materials cleared from the affected locations.
This activity reflects the aims of the UK Government's Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee, which places renewed emphasis on visible neighbourhood policing, responding to community concerns, tackling ASB and working alongside local partners to improve the places where people live and work.
By bringing together the expertise and resources of policing, local authority services and environmental partners, we were able to deliver a tangible outcome for the community, improve the local environment and demonstrate our collective commitment to addressing issues that matter most to residents. This follows a sustained period of significant effort on the ground from West Green Ward Officers, including the issuing of thirteen Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) and three Community Protection Notices (CPNs).
A huge thank you to all parties involved for their professionalism, dedication and teamwork throughout the day. Together, we remain committed to making Haringey's neighbourhoods safer, cleaner, and more welcoming for all.
